The recoil absorbing foams were selected specially to absorb a maximum amount of recoil over a broad range of temperatures. So, you can shoot in below freezing or blistering summer temperatures and have a nearly constant level of protection. Also, strips of specially selected higher density foam around the edges are designed to protect the user from the edges of the Lexan digging into your shoulder. And lastly, the shock absorbing foams are laid out to fit the contour of the users shoulder while putting a maximum amount of material directly behind the butt plate of the gun where it can do the most good.

Field Armor can be placed between the gunstock and shooter by hand, or, it can be comfortably perched in place with a comfortable, adjustable suspension strap. Using a simple cam-lock buckle, this strap is adjustable for all sizes of shooter and attaches conveniently to your belt loops. The harness grade elastic allows Field Armor to be worn comfortably for extended periods. Furthermore, the symmetric design allows Field Armor to be used by both right and left handed shooters by simply turning it around on the suspension strap. Simple.
